About Robert J. Allen

Mr. Robert J. Allen received a Master of Science in Education degree in Combined Sciences in 1980 from William Carey College. He retired from the Gulf Coast Research Laboratory in Ocean Springs, MS, in 1999, after 20 years of Electron Microscopy research on shellfish of the Gulf of Mexico and optical microscopy of cancer in aquatic fish. He now works part time supporting the central Mississippi catfish farming industry at the Fish Diagnostics Laboratory at the MSU College of Veterinary Medicine.

Mr. Allen is a former Evolutionist, and taught Evolution while a public school Biology and General Science teacher at the Junior High School level in Illinois. He became a Christian in 1983 at the age of 26 after hearing Science information he had not received as a Biology major in his undergraduate education at Eastern Illinois University. After experiencing such a huge paradigm shift in his world view, first from Evolutionist to Creationist, and then from Atheist/Agnostic to Christian, he began to study all aspects of the origins issue. Shortly after that, he began lecturing widely throughout the US on the Creation/Evolution controversy, and on Atheism. He has debated Evolutionists and Atheists on stage and on the radio, has been the featured speaker on national radio, and is currently writing a book tentatively entitled, “Refuting Claims and Arguments of the Atheism Myth.”
